CLOSET CONVERSATION VOLUME 12: In Motion: Featuring Andrea From Stage To Social Impact - May 20th
An intimate evening of style and storytelling featuring - Dancer, Choreographer, Teacher, and CBFF Head Coordinator Andrea Este.
With a career spanning over three decades, Andrea’s journey began in the world of dance, where she performed, created, and taught across Canada, Europe, and the United States. Through movement, she discovered a powerful form of storytelling, one rooted in expression, discipline, and connection.
Over time, her path naturally expanded beyond the stage into Public Relations and Communications, where she brought that same creativity and passion into both corporate and non-profit spaces.
In her role as the Head Coordinator of the Calgary Black Film Festival. Andrea works closely with her team to bring Fabienne Colas’s vision to life, growing these festivals into powerful platforms that amplify Black voices, support artists, and expand their impact across communities nationwide.
But what truly defines Andrea is her commitment to community. From leading cultural organizations to heading Black Film Festivals across Canada, she continues to champion representation, storytelling, and the celebration of Black culture. Join us for an inspiring conversation on creativity, reinvention, and using your voice to make a difference.
